Next… Electricity

October 4, 2009 |  by Brooke Tansley

We had some very unexciting but very important things to do next. The hanging wires under the house needed to be secured and all of the DIY shady wiring had to be fixed. Turns out, only 3 outlets worked in the entire house. Although the system had been updated to handle modern day power demands, the interior wiring was all original. Some things ya just don’t want to be vintage.

The outlets were also in some pretty strange places…

There was also this to contend with…

don't know

I don’t even know what I’m looking at.

We got Louis of LMS Electric to come out and fix this mess. He is a top-notch human being and a great talent.

He relocated that box under the house, secured all loose wiring, undid things done the wrong way and set them right, and cut some new outlets in places that make sense. The previous owners had a thing for putting outlets right next to water sources (the shower head, the hose, the kitchen sink), so he straightened that out too.

Onto project 19,003!
